Where is the clock
That sounds within my head
And all the words
That do occur
With nothing except dread
I cannot feel-
This isn't real
The thoughts they will remain
Until someone
Will be the one
To diminish all this pain
Who can cure
All unpure
And cast away the lies
That do repeat
That same beat
Of all that I despise?

With what they call despair

The infinite sadness that burns deep inside
The blazing fire that can never be quenched
Fear and anxiety that cannot be released
The silence that can break concentration
The eternal embrace of laughter and sorrow
Which silences the obvious despair of triumph
Forgiveness ignored, hatred within
Ashamed and alone stands this white dove
Never experiencing true flight-
Or wind beneath its wing
Crushing his soul with words of wrath-
Unnoticed he still remains
Septic eyes wander, never leaving a trace
Of the obvious stare directed toward this poor soul of despair
Otherwise known as melancholy
